The team neymar, KINGF0X, KennyL and Marco Antonio dewot built this mod. It centers on marioexe and began life as a darker Mario sketch on DeviantArt. Players meet other horror Mario characters on each level.

A pair open a strange box containing an old NES cartridge. They boot the game and a demon leaps from the screen. It drags them inside and they land in a void. Marioexe stands before them and other twisted Mario figures lurk in the shadows. The pair dodge each nightmare and chase an exit back to reality.
