Playing a Game.
Mancala is an old board game which originated in Africa and the Middle East. The aim of this game is to gather more stones or marbles than your opponent by cleverly putting them on The board. Game plays on a board with twelve small pits and two large pits known as stores. Each player has its own row made up of six small pits together with a storage area.
In each small pit The game starts with a set number of marbles typically between three and six. Player takes turns choosing a pit to collect all marbles and then distribute them one by one in a counter-clockwise direction into the other pits and their storage area. If a player’s last marble lands in his storage they get a second turn. Should the last marble fall into an empty pit on their side they can capture this marble and any marble from the directly opposing pit. When one player emptied their pits The game ends and The other player transfers their leftover marbles to their storage. Whoever collects The most marbles at The end of The game is determined as The winner.
Mancala is a simple game that offers a lot of strategic thinking making it fun for everyone. The game helps develop skills like planning looking ahead and anticipating what the other player might do. Mancala has been transformed into many different versions Over the years and has influenced many other games which is why it remains beloved by people of all ages and backgrounds.
